Call for Peace Medal Nominees!



Do you know a person or group in your community who is helping to build a more peaceful world? Recognize their efforts and share their story by nominating them for the Peace Medal!

Each year the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg sends a call out to the community seeking nominations for this prestigious award. The Peace Medal is a reminder that it is possible to build a more peaceful world one step at a time and that everyone can be engaged in these efforts!

Pedro in Canada

Pedro has landed in Canada and has begun his adventure exploring the programs here at the YMCA-YWCA of Winnipeg and some sights around the city!

Pedro is currently out at Camp Stephens in Lake of the Woods. Before he left Pamela Wright, Chair of the International Working Group, and her husband Wes Peters, hosted a BBQ for Pedro at their home. Big thank you to Pam and Wes for their hospitality!
